If you remember, not many years ago, the word “Hookah” or “Narguile” was very unusual; but during the years this invention has been very well know all around the world for people that like to share with their pals a cool moment.

Young people around the world use hookahs as tag for social events and also as a hobbies. Blogs (like this one), web stores, videos,  give us the latest news about this phenomenon that every days get more and more fans.

Smoking a hookah is seen as sign of sophistication and even to many looks very sexy. In Europe and the USA there are many high profile hookah lounges where you can enjoy a very nice experience

Most of the people associate hookah origins to the middle east, but it’s not that precise; there are also some versions that they could come from India and China. What we do know is that every thing started with a coconut, and then they modified them for a better quality material like Cristal, silver, and even gold.

There’s the believe that Arabs invented the Shisha and spread it to the whole world, but it was the British colonization to India that brought this invention to the western culture.

During the Turkish occupation during the XVI century in the kingdom of Hungary, it was very used by the nobles that had very tight relation with Muslims politicians through the Transylvania’s Kingdom. Once in 1699 the Turkish were expelled from the  Hungarian territories, it was prohibited to smoke all kind hookahs and any element associated to the Muslims with the idea to keep the christian culture over the kingdom

Nowadays, we can tell the hookah culture is very strong all around the world and it’s not strange to find hookah pubs in Europe and USA.
